Freeze the URL column
A wide table should not make you lose track of the page you are reviewing. Keep URL at the left while you move across titles, descriptions, and other crawl fields.

What happens in the demo
Start with a wide Pages table
The completed fixture crawl has URL, Status Code, Indexability, Title, and Meta Description visible.
Enable Freeze
Select the Freeze checkbox in the URL header before moving across the table.
Scroll to the right
Drag the bottom scrollbar gradually. The other columns move while URL stays at the left of the table.
Read the description beside its URL
Select the migration checklist description. Its page URL remains visible on the same row, so there is no need to scroll back to identify it.
Keep page identity next to the evidence.
Freeze is useful when the fields you need extend beyond the available window width. A description or indexing value means more when you can still see the URL on its row.
Start by showing only the columns relevant to the review through Filter. Freeze complements a focused table; it does not require enabling every column or reducing the app zoom.
Keep URLs in view during the review.
- Finish the crawl and open Pages. For the example shown, make URL, Status Code, Indexability, Title, and Meta Description visible.
- Find Freeze in the URL column header and select its checkbox.
- Drag the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the table to the right. URL stays at the left as the remaining fields move.
- Select a value you want to inspect, then read the URL on that same row. In the demo, the description belongs to
/blog/migration-checklist. - Uncheck Freeze when you want URL to scroll with the rest of the table again. The view may shift back toward the URL column.
Freeze changes the view, not the crawl.
- It does not pause crawling
- The checkbox fixes the URL column's position. It is not a pause or stop control for the crawler.
- It does not filter rows or edit values
- Your issue selections and table filters still determine which rows you see. Freezing or unfreezing does not clear those filters or change the underlying crawl data.
- It fixes URL, not every leading column
- The row number can move out of view. Very long URLs can also remain truncated within the URL column; freezing is not an expansion of the cell.
