1. What this Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Lil Robots SEO Crawler desktop application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
This policy is specific to the App. The Lil Robots website, marketing pages, contact forms, and newsletter are covered by our general Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
When you use the App, we may collect the following types of information:
- Usage data: Limited technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, license type category, coarse feature usage, coarse crawl status events, duration buckets, row-count buckets, and non-content errors.
- Account data: If you create an account or sign in, we may collect information such as your email address, name, account identifier, license status, and subscription status.
- Payment data: Payment information is processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store full credit card numbers or payment card details.
- Support data: If you contact us for support, we may process the information you provide so we can respond to your request.
3. Crawl Data
The App processes crawled addresses, page metadata, link text, and publicly available page content locally on your machine to generate SEO reports.
Crawled URLs, page content, metadata, and link text are processed on your machine, not sent through analytics or diagnostics. We never track or see your crawl data.
If you choose to export results, the exported files are saved where you choose on your own device. We do not receive CSV export contents or saved file paths through App analytics or diagnostics.
4. Analytics and Diagnostics
Lil Robots SEO Crawler may send limited product analytics and diagnostic events to help us understand app reliability, feature usage, and errors. We use PostHog for product analytics and Sentry for error reporting.
For the App, we do not intentionally collect or send crawled website content or personally identifiable information through analytics or diagnostics.
We do not track or send:
- • Crawled URLs or user-entered crawl addresses.
- • Page titles, meta descriptions, headings, canonical tags, hreflang values, or robots directives.
- • HTML, page body text, rendered DOM content, screenshots, or page source.
- • Link source URLs, destination URLs, anchor text, surrounding link text, or image alt text.
- • CSV export contents or saved file paths.
- • License keys.
- • Cookies, authorization headers, request bodies, query strings, or clipboard contents.
- • Session replay recordings, heatmaps, autocaptured clicks, or full interaction recordings.
The events we send are limited to app-level actions and coarse counts, such as whether a crawl was started or completed, whether links analysis was enabled, approximate row-count buckets, duration buckets, license type category, and non-content error diagnostics.
Product analytics and diagnostics are used to understand app reliability, usage, licensing, and support needs. They are not used for advertising retargeting or cross-site behavioral advertising.
PostHog is configured with autocapture, session replay, heatmaps, pageview capture, pageleave capture, and web vitals autocapture disabled. Sentry is configured not to send default personally identifiable information, and event data is scrubbed before being sent.
5. How We Use Information

- • Process purchases, subscriptions, renewals, and account access.

- Account and usage data: These are retained for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide the App and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations.
